Picked up a new Colt Combat Commander yesterday. On initial inspection, I was impressed with the F&F and how well put together it was. Everything was as tight as it should be (imo) without being too tight.

Took it to the range this morning, and put 150 rounds of FMJs through it (S&B, Blazer Brass, Fiocchi), with a handful of Mec-Gar, Wilson Combat and McCormick mags, incl. 10-rounders that have given me some feeding issues in other 1911s. It ate everything with out issue and handled well.

I was curious to see how Colt's double recoil spring setup would feel, and I
do think it helps. For a 33 oz. gun, recoil was very manageable and recoil was mild.
I think this one's a keeper.
