So I recently installed the CGW standard package on my P-01 and I've found that since my changes the gun has consistently shot to the left.

I took it out to the range yesterday, I was mostly just testing it out to ensure it'd consistently fire a few types of ammo. No issues firing, but I did notice that all of my shots were consistently grouped to the left by a couple of inches. I assumed this was user error (though my P-07, SP-01 were all on target), but I made a note to investigate further. So this morning I hit the range again and fired it steady from a bench rest... solid group but still to the left an inch or two from 10 yards. 15 yards a little further left. All I had today was some 147gr Super Vel and 124gr HP ammo. No difference between them as far as POI--both consistently grouped left.

So as of this morning I'm confident that this isn't just me. My Cajunized SP-01 has the same SA trigger break, no issue there, Cajunized P-07 has a similar trigger feel and size, no issue there--both shooting from a bench rest in order to compare. Obviously there are differences between these guns and the P-01 but I wanted to double check it wasn't just me or how I was shooting. Prior to swapping the parts the P-01 was shooting as expected (and I'd shot some of the same ammo prior as well).

Without you being able to inspect the gun I know this is tough, but I'm just looking for suggestions as to next steps to take. Perhaps my rear sight was bumped while I was doing the work? I've still got the factory sights on there, they seem like they're pretty well fixed in position. I field stripped and inspected the gun, didn't see any cracks anywhere or issues with the barrel. The sights appear to be centered as before but of course it's tough to tell just by eyeing them.

I did clean and lube the gun a bit while I was installing the parts, but I'll try doing so again. Also I'll try some different ammo the next time and see how that goes, though at 10-15 yards I can't imagine there'd be a massive difference. Has anyone else run into this? Any other ideas as far as what I can try? Thanks!

  • I've shot the rest, I now own the best - CZ
The sights are usually pretty stubborn about moving, even with help from a punch/hammer or a sight tool.  I think you'd know it if you hit it against something hard enough to move the sights.

Trigger pull is different, finger on the trigger different, gripping the frame different?

I used to instruct at Appleseeds.  People would show up Saturday morning, sight their rifles in and start learning the fundamentals of rifle marksmanship.  Part of the way through the day they'd be moving their sights again because the way they held the rifle and pulled the trigger changed.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?
