That is indeed strange.  Would have thought they would have given you an option- $ for an aftermarket sight set up or a new pistol.

Wonder if they found something else?

Regardless- think it’s a pretty good deal

Got it this morning.

The promised e-mail from FedEx with the tracking number did not happen.  Found out I'd missed delivery yesterday when I got home from a doctor's appt. when the driver left a note on the door.  Got it around 1030 this morning.

It's darker than the original.  That's fine.  I always thought the first one was kind of "light" anyway.

Swapped it over to the safeties and they were really stiff at first, kept working with them to loosen the movement up.  No different than one or two other Omega pistols I've bought.

I do wish I'd not shipped it to them in the P07 DUTY box as I didn't get that back.  I did take all the stuff out of if first.

I sent them one 10 round (new magazine right out of the package) for function testing (doesn't CZ do that at the factory??) and they put it in the pistol along with the two new 15 round magazines that come with new pistols.

This one didn't have the CZ CD the first Omega SR pistol had in the box, I looked just in case.  That is the only CZ I ever bought with a CD in included in the box.

Now I need to go to the range.  Gotta get an o-ring for the thread protector out of the cabinet, field strip, clean, examine and lube it up.

It's a 2021 made pistol by the date on the slide.

I'll get used to how the black grips look on the almost chocolate brown pistol vs. the look of the black rubber grips on the lighter pistol.  Just a difference in paint mixing most likely.  Seems like I've seen a similar dark color on an SP01 SR pistol at a gunshow or two.

There were no aftermarket parts on the first pistol, so nothing lost there but the trust in the reliability of it, which I'll get after a couple range trips with this one.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

Sounds like it all worked out in your favor. Good to know CZ is still taking care of people.

Only missing one thing.  My lanyard loop.  Out of stock at CZ USA right now.  I'll have to order one once they come back in stock.  Only use them when I'm fishing but I do like to have the pistol tied to me around the water.

Field stripped it, looked it over, lubed it up, put an o-ring on the thread protector (and one in the hammer slot in the back of the slide) and did some dry firing.  Wild, the trigger pull slightly improved in just a few minutes of dry firing.  I can't say I've ever noticed that on any other CZ I've bought in the past.  In SA the trigger seemed to hit the wall and stop, then move rearwards a tiny bit and hit another wall.  At that point any further rearward trigger movement dropped the hammer and the trigger pull at that point was not heavy and it was crisp enough to suit me.  Just that false wall the trigger comes to first to complain about.

Then I started the dry fire (with the Mobil 1 oil on the insides in all the usual places I put a drop) and suddenly I realized that first wall was almost gone.  As a "wall" it was gone.  It became a feel of slightly more pressure than the slack prior to that first wall.  After some more dry firing it was even lighter.  I can feel it if I take the trigger up slow.  I wonder if it will continue to lessen with more firing/dry firing?  I'll find out.

Won't put the TLR6 (or is it 7?) back on it till I shoot it some.
