Sellier & Bellot ammo question.
« on: December 09, 2022, 07:16:32 AM »
Hi, the only ammo I've ever shot through my P-01 and PCR compacts is Blazer Brass 115 gr. FMJ, never a problem.
I'm thinking about buying a case of SELLIER & BELLOT 9MM LUGER AMMO 124 GRAIN FULL METAL JACKET - SB9B to try and was wondering if anyone had any good or bad things to say about it. Plunk test? Hard primers? Sellier & Bellot seems to be a little hotter than Blazer Brass. Any opinions would be appreciated.

With regards to the S&B 124 FMJ; I have used it extensively in all of my CZs with no issues.  The primers have not failed even with the reduced power mainspring in my 75 Shadow.  The S&B 124s are hot, but not excessive.  At a recent IDPA match they averaged 1,175 FPS.

Thanks Wobbly, I can't believe I never saw that. Looks like my question was answered there. :)

And thanks to steel for his input.

Didn't CZ use S&B ammo to test at the factory and shoot the test groups they used to show with the paperwork in the box the pistol comes in?
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

They do. It's mostly S&B though occasionally some other stuff.

Used S&B for years 124 gr. Never had any issues . It’s a little hot compared to blazer or bellum but used to be the cheapest when you could find it
