Are they really that bad?
.

Yes. The factory sights on the PCR and P-01 are awful, and any purchaser should plan to send them off for something better...

This...

In my view the original P01 sights are the only flaw in an otherwise near-perfect defensive pistol.  I have been happily running Meps for over half a decade. As my eyes age I'm thinking about going to XS Big Dots, as I have on my P365.

Cheers

I agree. Have them on my 75b stainless.  Only wish they made a rear site that matches the PCR shelf
Like a midget at a urinal, I'll have to keep on my toes

My experience with Truglo TFX Sights on the P01 and P01 Omega is they SHOOT LOW at 7 and 15 yards from a pistol rest using 124 grain ammo with a Combat Sight Picture (Front dot on desired POI). Dawsons shoot to POA. Truglo's website it not specific on CZ pistols.

Based on what I had read on this forum I figured on replacing the factory sights. I was hoping to go with the Trijicon HD Night Sights which I have on several other carry guns but doesn’t look like they make them for the CZ 75.

I noticed CGW has a sight that is similar. Has anyone used this Meprolight?

Yes, I had these Meprolight's installed on my CZ75D PCR and the POA is right on. I have another PCR with the TruGlo Tritium Pro Night Sights CZ 75 Tritium Green Tritium W/Orange Outline Fr, TG-TG231Z1C installed and the POA is also right on, which I kinda prefer over the Meprolight's.

Thanks, I ordered a set of the TruGlo Tritium Pro with the orange front ring the other day. Looking forward to installing them.

You are going to love them! The sights are perfect, 25 yrds on a 16" square target is no problem with every round. I was getting 3" groups at 10 yrds today. The front orange color sight really helps alot, at least for my eyes anyway. Tomorrow I am going to shoot my other PCR with the Meprolight sights that also have an orange front sight, for a comparison. The Truglo sights never missed the target at any distance up to 25yrds.

I meant to say the Rear sight

to me the factory small glow dots are pretty bad!
I had David install a set of Meps on it as its my carry weapon and I have a SP-01 Tac and 97 BD that had the same sights.
so I got the same sight picture with all three, the POA-POI did not change one bit from the factory sights.
and yep, MY P-01 shoots just as accurately as my SP-01, at least out to 25 yards,.

''MY P-01 shoots just as accurately as my SP-01, at least out to 25 yards," ...really? my experience is just the opposite on my P-01 Omega. The only way I can be accurate with it, even at 7 yrds, is to have a perfect grip and trigger pull.  My SP-01 is very accurate and more forgiving. Maybe I'm just a bad shooter.

I must recant my previous comment from Sept., as now, I also shoot my CZ Compact, CZ 75D PCR more accurately than my CZ SP-01. Must be some kind of balance thing going on.
