So I have had some issues, with having the slide locked back and loading only a single round into the magazine and then inserting it into the gun.  For some reason if I then pull the slide back to release the slide stop and chamber the round, the slide stop will not release and the slide stays locked back.  The follower on the magazine is pushing up against the bottom of the slide stop.

I have now tried a new magazine and a new slide stop spring and am still having the issue.

Should the head of the round in the magazine be coming in contact with the ejector?  I have attached some pics with the slide off.

I can see brass marks on the bottoms of the ejector as well.   Not sure if this is normal.

Trying to avoid sending this back to CZ for a warranty request.

I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

What gun? I just looked at my SP01 and 75b SA and both of them the casing just touches the ejector. I tried three different Mags in my SA with one round with the slide off and slide stop in. A 10 round Mecgar with a blue follower, a CZ standard 10 round black follower and a CZ 16 round black follower. None of these pushed the slide stop up and there was a small gap between the follower and slide stop. Can you show a pic of the follower hitting the slide stop with the one round in it. If you remove the slide and put the slide stop back in and push then release the slide stop does it return to the lower position or stay in the up position?

FWIW, I can chamber a single round in the CZ 75 BSA either by pulling back and releasing the slide or pressing down on the slide stop.

It seems that in your situation, something is causing the slide stop to stay in the "up" position; thus locking the slide.  Or perhaps the slide is not clearing the sear cage assembly?

If I have the slide off and the slide stop in and I push it up with a mag loaded with one round then release no it does not go down as the follower for some reason is lisping up on the slide stop.  If I remove the mag it falls all the way back down.

If I do the same test with no mag and push the slide stop up and release it goes back to its most downward position as well
