I have been considering buying a CZ 550 in .308 and would like to know how accurate they are strait from the box,
and how they would compare with other 308's on the market?

I have the 550 in 7x57, 7mm Mauser. I free floated the barrel and glass bedded the action at the recoil lug and tang. I shot factory loads at sub 1/2'' at 50 yards when I was zeroing the scope. I did a hand load and put three shots into the target and produced vertually a single bullet hole, slightly larger than one bullet, at 50 yard.

One of the success aspect of CZ firearm is mostly due to their barrel rifling making machine. To have a machine  do so today would almost be prohibitive $$$ luckely the equipment dates from CZ early days.
