CZ Custom New Style Trigger Pin
« on: March 22, 2023, 03:09:50 AM »
Has anyone used the cz custom new style trigger pin?  Does it work well? Apparently one end is a little wider so no staking required and it’s reusable.  When driving it in does the wider end sit flush with the frame?

Never tried one. I prefer the CGW floating trigger pin. The problem I see with having a pin pressure fit like the CZ-Custom pin is that if it is removed and re-installed multiple times eventually the hole in the frame is likely to open up and would no longer hold the pin tight. I think I'd use a standard staked pin first.
Just my opinion.

Agreed.  Press-fit pins should never be used in firearms.

This is what I am currently using.  I liked the idea on the cz custom of not having to add red loc-tite which is required for installation of the TS2 version

I get it. You should do what works best for you no doubt about it. Looks like the CZ Custom pin is out of stock though. Seems alot of parts are hard to get at this point with no availability date in sight.

I actually have one I ordered a while back, you guys made me nervous about it widening the frame hole though so I guess Ill stick with the CGW.

One of the first things I do on all my cz’s is remove the staked pin and install a a cajun gunworks floating trigger pin. Makes it lots easier to take apart .

I have CGW pins in most of my CZs but I do have the CZC pin in one of my CZs. I would say if you like to change things in the trigger group a lot I would use the CGW pin if not the CZC will be fine.
