CZ 527 7.62x39 Carbine Doing Work
« on: January 03, 2023, 06:56:22 AM »
Shot 2 does over the New Year weekend. My preferred type of fireworks.

Shots in the 60 to 75 yard range using Hornady Black steel cased 123 grain SSTs.

I think the 527 in 7.62x39 goes a bit under-appreciated for deer hunting. Ive taken quite a few pigs with mine as well. I have a fair quantity of the heavy for caliber (153 gr I think) Wolf soft points, they work quite well. Took an 8pt a few years ago at about 75 yds, recovered on the spot.
Nice deer.
It's not saving any water if you have to flush it over and over....

The CZ 527 7.62x39 Carbine sounds like it's been a reliable companion for your hunts. I've been delving into gun research myself, checking out insights on Guns Domain, and hearing about your success with it is inspiring. Using Hornady Black steel-cased 123 grain SSTs at that range shows you've got your setup dialed in nicely for those 60 to 75 yard shots.

I've always admired the CZ rifles for their accuracy and durability, and your experience reinforces that reputation. There's something special about making those precise shots, especially when it results in a successful hunt.
