RIA MAAP .22tcm conversion
« on: May 25, 2023, 10:20:26 PM »
Does anyone know if the conversion barrels for these are still available? Everywhere online shows them out of stock - even Advance Tactical. My local enabler is offering me a great deal on a MAPP 9, but I'd really only be interested in it if I can do the cobversion.

I dont think that conversion has been made for a number of years.

Yeah, that's what it's looking like. I'll call Armscor next week just to confirm. It's such a good deal on the MAPP that I'll probably go ahead and get it, then keep an eye out for the conversion on the used market.

Well according to Armscor, they do still sell the conversion kit - they've just been out of stock. They claim they'll be getting more in, but just don't know when, so I put myself on the "notify me" list.

Since I know that I'll be able to get the conversion at some point, and the MAPP was such a good deal, I went ahead and brought it home.
It is definitely a Witness P with a slightly different finish and brand on it, so I'm happy.

The slide looks alot like a FAB92 slide without the decocker/safeties on the back.  Those had a Beretta style set of ambi-decocker levers on the slide below/behind the rear sight.

At first glance, that is what it looks like to me.....

I've had the conversion kit for years. Been looking for a reasonably priced Map1 FS to go with it. Prefer the all steel.

I prefer all metal as well, but I couldn't pass up the deal on this one.
