6mm of take up after reset CGW pro pkg SP01
« on: November 19, 2023, 07:05:24 PM »
I've installed pro pkg on a new CZSp01. The] reset is good and crisp and the trigger pull is smooth. It feels like i would have expected it to but the take up after reset in SA is close to 6mm vs 3
.. the trigger itself moves @3mm before the sear starts to move. What do I have wrong here. I called cajun twice and they don't know. I'm not sure I exactly explained it correctly to them but it just doesn't work for me. Any ideas as to why the trigger moves so far after reset before sesr engagement? I put a gray guns short reset and race hammer in a sig 226 and it feels worlds better.

If you want the shortest reset possible, you need to get rid of the Firing Pin Block (FPB) and go Single-Action Only (SAO).  If you did the Pro Package install, you can do this.  You will need some more CGW parts.

Have you adjusted the trigger setscrews properly to minimize pre and post trigger travel?  If you called Cajun and they don't know, then I don't think anyone is going to be able to help you.  I don't recall what disconnector comes with the pro package but you might need to have a custom fitted disconnector to get the trigger pull you are after.  Or you need move on to the shadow lineup of CZ pistols that don't come with a firing pin block.
