P-10C brand new, trigger always a bit 'crunchy' at first?
« on: September 27, 2023, 04:23:35 PM »
I picked up a P-10C today and took it directly to the range (after a proper clean and oil first) and absolutely love how it feels, shoots, everything, but I wanted to ask from those who have been shooting theirs for a bit, is there always a slight bit of a 'crunch' feel in the trigger, or is that perhaps only at first?  It's not something that ruins the shooting experience for me, I loved it, but it does stand out, especially against my P-07.  Thanks!

I've heard new P10-C triggers described as gritty, that sounds pretty close to crunchy.  That will smooth out with use.

Okay great, I'll give it more time and, most importantly, more rounds, then, before I make a decision on doing anything else, and yeah, gritty would probably be a better adjective.

My month old P10C had some grit just as you start pulling through the wall. I just installed installed the Apex trigger kit & it's very smooth now plus the trigger pull is greatly reduced.

Just about all guns benefit by going through a "break-in" period as long as they are properly maintained.

So something that wasn't mentioned, and maybe I'm the only one who has experienced it, but sometimes I can get the trigger moving just before the dingus clears the frame and there is what I'd describe as a crunch where it forcibly clears the frame on the way to the wall.

Again could just be me, but I've had the exact same experience on 2 P10C models. One from when they first came out and another I bought 2 months ago.

I have never had that on any other bladed trigger firearm unless I was purposely causing the blade to catch the frame by not fully depressing it.

It doesn't cause any function issues or make me love the gun any less, just something worth pointing out.

My P-10C trigger pin rubbed the frame on one side, but I don't remember a crunch sensation.  CZ sent me new parts and that took care of it.  For some reason that pin from the factory was a little long.  I ended up putting an HBI trigger in, so that's old news.
