Twisted my ankle so I’ve been stuck at home but decided it was good enough (it wasn’t it turned out) to stop by my local range. I know better than to go after T-day so it wasn’t a total surprise to see a crowd. Have to say it was great to see families and lots of new shooters enjoying their firearms. All 48 lanes were full at 1pm! Last Wednesday there were about 12 of us old guys.
Took my trusty SAO 97 with RDS shooting for the first time in ~2 years. It ran great but after 20 rounds I noticed some flyers - loose mounting screws. Ran my old EDC 1911; a S&W alloy frame joy machine. It was still fun but I just can’t see the sights. Finished off with the Taurus TX22. Can’t wait to get 3 more mags. It just eats them up as fast as I pull the trigger and with the reduced power trigger spring it’s dang fast!
Hope everyone has a great holiday!
