recoil spring for P 07
« on: November 01, 2023, 04:05:27 AM »
I just purchased a P 07 and was thinking of getting a spare recoil spring when I place order for other stuff. I saw two recoil springs offered. One for use only with P 07 and other for use with P 07 and P10. I am not sure which version came with recently purchased P 07, but figured best to stick with whatever came with it. Anyone know differences and what is now stock on recent P 07. thanks.

Out of stock at CZ USA.

Out of stock at Numrich Gun Parts, too.

If you want it now you might have to order an aftermarket recoil spring guide and spring.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

The dual spring for P 07 and P 10 is in stock. Cost twice as much. I am not in a hurry and looking to buy spare sometime in future to have. I just don't know which is best to buy or what the difference is beyond one recoil spring works with two models and other only with P 07. Link to model recoil spring good with two models. thanks for any info.

I think the blue spring (captured spring) was the one I put in my older P07 (had to open up the guide rod hole some in the front of the slide).  You can order and aftermarket spring guide rod from several different vendors/makers and then just order springs to fit it.  That doesn't lock you into one spring weight/strength and allows you to try different springs much cheaper.  The guide rods shouldn't wear out and spares/replacements are cheaper as you're just ordering a spring (or three).

I don't know how long the recoil spring would last but I remember reading the flat coil springs (like we have for the P07 pistols) are supposed to last 3 times or more longer than the round wire coil springs.
