I swapped my hand guard out for the strike industries setup. What an improvement! But holy hell what kind of lock tight does CZ use? It took all I had with the upper in a vice to brake the barrel but loose. I like the flash can on the micro, may have to pin one to get the length I need!
Thanks,

Sean

First of all, I tried several strap wrenches to get the thing off, but none had enough grip to get any purchase on the slick finish of the faux suppressor. So, as usual, the “experts” at CZ USA are full of bleep. I had to do some work to get a pin wrench to get it off (see above).

1. The faux suppressor is 6” long, so it sticks @ 5.75” into the hand guard around the barrel, with @ 1/4” protruding forward from the end of the muzzle.

2. It screws on at the muzzle (1/2 x 28 threads).

3. Yes.

4. the tip of the bare muzzle protrudes from the hand guard @ 1/2” from the front of the hand guard and @ 7.5” from the rear end of the hand guard.

Hope that helps!

This is exactly what I was looking for!

I'm new to the Scorpion world and don't own one yet. I've been going back and forth deciding between the Evo3S1, 3+ Micro, and 3+ Pistol. My intentions are to put a Silencerco 36M on the front and have been trying to decide which platform would suit it best.
I was planning on running a single port ASR break on the end and it seems there is enough room to do so and still operate the ASR collar.

Thanks!!

Thank you brother!  This helps quite a bit!  If you can provide a link to the pin wrench you used that would be great.

I measured the pin holes on face of my Scorpion 3+ faux suppressor, and they were 3mm.

My 3mm (0.118") drill bit end will not fit the holes however, 1/8" (0.125") will.

I just threw a t-shirt over it and ripped it off with a channel wrench. Came off pretty easily, have a standard 9mm thread protector on there until I decide what to replace it with.

Yeah, that’s the first thing I tried, but the finish on the faux suppressor is too slick to get a grip and with the hand guard in place, there’s not enough room for a wider strap wrench.

Plus, whoever mounted the faux suppressor on my 3+ at the factory really went nuts slathering on the lock tite - seemingly a common issue at CZ.

I don't get it.

The end of the +3 muzzle device looks exactly like the one that came on my S2.

I just used a flat piece of steel tha fit in the 2 cut outs and screwed it off.

Am I missing something?

there are no cut-outs on the three plus faux suppressor; you'll need a pin spanner or a strap wrench to remove it.  I used a cheap chinese pin spanner that I got on amazon.  There was some thread sealant but was easy to remove the faux suppressor.

Just purchased the 3+ Pistol 7.8 Barrel from PSA. I plan on installing a YHM Mini Phantom® Q.D. Flash Hider to run my YHM R9 Suppressor.
Once the faux suppressor is removed how far back from the end of the handguard is the threads?
Wondering if the flash hinder will clear.
