Only they know what the future holds but I would not hold my breath. CZ abandoned the .40 and the .45acp so them producing a new gun in anything that isn't 9mm seems a stretch at this point. Dan Wesson does produce a 1911 in 10mm.
Hey you never know though since CZ is now affiliated with the 3 legged pony that is Colt anything could happen.

What?? COLT-cz make a 10mm CZ-97?? Now that 10mm is again a popular cartridge and one the hottest sectors of the pistol market?

They can’t do that! That would make entirely too much sense!!

Yeah it would make too much sense. Virtually everyone who is anyone has produced models for the concealed carry market but nooo not Colt no way. They re-issue updated versions of their revolver line which they botched. The closest thing to a carry piece is the remake of the Cobra and in this day of micro compact high cap pistols who wants a 6 shot wheel gun that falls between a S&W K and J frame? Only the Colt purists.

If COLT-cz was REALLY smart and focused on advancing firearms technology instead of just muddling in corporate mergers and acquisitions, they’d come up with a CZ-75 / Shadow 2 in BOTH 10mm and 7.5 FK Brno in the same package since the barrels, frames and magazines are all compatible…wave of the future! But I’m not holding my breath…

I know it's not what the traditional hammer fired metal frame crowd wants but CZ could easily produce a 10mm in the P10 line. Springfield Armory and Glock both have multiple models chambered in 10mm so this old notion that the gun needs some super heavy duty metal frame pretty much goes out the window.

First, more people would want to know what 7.5 FK Brno IS before they would want to buy one. 10mm is considered niche, and it's been around for decades; the one you mention I've never even heard of, betting the potential pool of buyers for it would be mighty small right now. Companies have to make money, and sinking R&D and tooling costs into something that won't bring in profit is wasted sunk costs. However, if it is something that has great potential, then it might be worth it - can you sell them on the idea?

My son bought a SA XDM in 10mm, striker-fired, plastic frame…it’s lightweight but pretty snappy recoil with full power 10mm ammo. Not at all pleasant to shoot much, and I don’t cotton to striker fire triggers, though I believe it has a grip safety which is good. The best thing about it is that it comes optics-ready from the factory, which ALL pistols should be these days, or at least be an option from the factory.

Personally, I would favor a CZ-clone Tanfoglio steel frame 10mm DA/SA, with a decocker, if I could get it, though I don’t think decockers are available.

Have you been asleep for the last couple of years? The FK Brno 7.5 has made quite a splash in the firearms media for the last few years:

Meataxe, I'll ask you to speak politely, and no, I haven't been asleep, and I have been active on a large number of firearm related internet forums for many years. I don't remember hearing about this cartridge, nor has it made much impression on the Active Topics sections of several boards much bigger than this one. So, the splash you see seems to be localized, and apparently hasn't spread much - the 30 Carry made a bigger impression on people and it's pretty much gone now. Again - can you sell it to CZ-UB as something they should manufacture? If enough people ask for something, then it gets built - as pointed out, look at the CZ Custom CZ97s in 10mm. There was JUST enough demand for them to offer it in a custom package, but not enough world wide for CZ-UB to chamber it in the Czech Republic. Let one semi-major country switch to 10mm for subguns and sidearms, and you'll see Scorpions and P-10Fs chambered in 10mm in an effort to get a big contract.

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything to be clear. I personally have zero interest in the 10mm no matter who makes the gun. I'm merely making the observation that CZ could do it if they were inclined. They did make the P10F in .45 acp in a limited run and those guns seemed to sell off pretty well.

And right or wrong that's my impression. CZ is primarily a mass provider to armies and big police departments. The sales to the public are simply a side show.

HK is run the same way... At least that's the feeling I got from being on the hk forum.
