Q SP-01 decocker
« on: February 07, 2024, 06:01:13 PM »
Hi all,

I am new to CZ pistols.  I just installed the Cajun Gun Works Pro-package.  Wow, _that_ was educational!

Everything is together, and function checks are all good - seems that everything is working well.

Here's the question: Once I have decocked the hammer, the decocking lever seems loose.  It doesn't have any spring tension on it.  It will move from being horizontal, to 45 degrees down freely.  Is this normal, or have I screwed up something?

I just wanted to double-check.  This is how we learn by doing.

  Thanks!

It sounds like you didn't get the decocker spring over the decocker leg in the sear cage.   It's the last step when assembling the sear cage.

Here is a video I put together a while back to assemble the sear cage.  https://youtu.be/qDKoDM6Rqac?si=pBTyk3Wx1YfhtTeN

Cheers,
Toby

After watching that video, I'm glad I just bought a whole gun from Cajun Gun Works.  My poor old tired eyeballs ain't what they used to be.
