So... the destruction of CZ USA continues!
« on: April 22, 2024, 11:02:44 AM »
Ordered a part on 1 April (making a Scorpion plus hybrid).   It was marked in stock.  Three weeks later the part has NOT SHIPPED.  I called and it SHOULD ship this week.

The poor parts manager lost all of his staff earlier in the month.

OK - so the 'merger' with Colt is killing CZ USA.  Not a happy time.

BTW - I ordered a couple parts from AFTER I ordered from CZ USA, and they arrived this week from CR.

I guess we can only hope that when COLT-cz goes belly up, PSA will snap them up and move everything down South, leaving Colt Management in CT holding the sack.

The only downside to buying parts internationally is that “technically” you’re supposed to have an import license from the atf and / or US Customs. In the past, if you ordered a hundred dollars worth or less of parts from a foreign country, they didn’t bother with you. Now, in today’s anti-gun DOJ under Xiden, who knows…

One good thing is that a lot of Ascalon’s parts are available here in the US from Nexus Firearms.

My problem is that I’m already heavily invested in CZ75 pistols and other CZ mfg. guns — I really like them and they’re perfect for me. So lately I've acquired a few more CZ 75s and other models, plus whatever essential parts I can scrounge in anticipation of a downfall. Hopefully, the already substantial aftermarket for CZ firearms will fill the void if and when CZ starts faltering in a big way.

I'll keep my AO1-LD since it's technically not a CZ and maybe the czc 97b.

I'm pretty happy with my  h&k's. I call their customer service line and someone always answers. Parts shipped that week. Biggest negative is the magazines are pricey.

I edc a shield plus. No problems ever. It's light, thin and I can use a  13 or 15 round mag.

Not selling any of mine.  Most shoot too darned good to give up/sell.

Parts?  One of them may break, one of these days.  I have never made an order out just for what I needed.  Shipping costs are the same whether I bought some CGW lower powered trigger return springs, firing pin block springs, etc. or all that plus various assorted spring, pins, screws, a hammer here and there, a barrel bushing, etc.  Every time I get what I ordered I also have small bags of other parts to squirrel away in the divider boxes in the shed.

Like reloading supplies.  Don't wait till you need them.  Buy them when you see a good price on something you know you can use.  Parts, primers, bullets, powder won't go bad in my lifetime.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I didn’t really worry about getting spare parts from CZ USA (they’d always been pretty good in the past) until a couple of years ago when I bought a x39 Bren 2, which roughly coincided with Colt Management taking over. Though I have not had any functionality issues myself, plenty of others did, mainly with badly overgassed guns and dirty /mangled extractor / ejector issues. Then suddenly when you needed parts to deal with those issues, there were no parts available…or service. Finally, HBI and now KNS have come up with aftermarket solutions to the excess gas issue, but CZ didn’t do jack squat. Since then, spare parts, including essential wear and tear items like extractors, ejectors, firing pins and the springs & pins thereof have been rare as hens’ teeth.

I can't imagine CZ sitting idly by as their brand is dragged down in the U.S.  Couldn't they come in and clean house?

This caught my attention because I have only one CZ but want more.

4 of them gone and few more left. I bought a hk usp expert 45. Comes with a match trigger. Not as good as the sp01 I sold but atleast I can get parts for it. Thinking my next purchase will be a usp elite in 9mm.

They seem to carry parts for the bolts and the lower shim - that's all.

How long ago did you order?

I’ve been waiting almost 6 weeks for my parts to ship. As of yet, nada.

It was almost exactly 6 weeks ago.  I think the whole or most of the parts department quit.

Sorry!  What a mess.  But now I have my Euro Micro.

They also DON'T seem to carry many parts.
