I had a good day on Saturday in the video above. I took Sunday off for Mother's Day, then returned to the range Monday morning to see if I could match Saturday's results.
Bright sunlight, cool, calm. The bright sunlight affected how I was able to see the dot on the aim point. I couldn't really see the yellow box and the dot covers the black bullseye so it is hard to get a precise hold. I am working on the video now, but I think I will be well short of Saturday's result. I also had to move the aim point much more than I expected and I'm not sure why, perhaps just the wind plus my tendency to aim a little high when I can's see the yellow box.
If I think there is something to learn from this mornings session, I'll publish a video later today or early Tuesday morning. And here it is...
https://youtu.be/_EnEEfuyTK8I'm going to try a 24" diameter black bullseye as an aim point next time out at 200 yards. But 6 nine ring hits including an X at 200 yards isn't too bad. Only took 20 shots. Plus the 40 before that to figure out how to deal with the change in conditions of both wind and brightness.
All I can say is... This is fun. This isn't easy.
