Friday after work, I was checking out my better stocked LGS and they had obtained a p-01 in trade. I believe it is a 2023 model.
In any event, I have kind of committed myself to trying not to grow my gun collection and when possible, reduce.
So traded my nearly new EMP Ronin for the P-01. I have been looking at the Cz 75 compact and the P-01 for a while.
Once I got the P-01 home it became clear to me this gun was probably never shot as it was loaded with oil and could not find any wear marks on the ramp, slide, etc.
Cleaned it up and took it to the range the next morning and it shot my reloads and factory ball ammo without a glitch. I shot it OK, not great, but OK.
I usually leave my guns stock for most part, but actually considering which I want more for this gun, better sights or an improved trigger. It's fine in SA mode, but not loving the DA function.
I don't think the P-01 will replace my PPS M2 as my default carry piece, so not too worried about its carry possibilities.
It did come with 2 10 round factory mags and 1 15 round aftermarket mag.
It joins an older 75B and a 40 S&W SP-01 tactical in the safe. Previous CZ include two 2075s and and a P-07 (kind of miss it).
