Cz 600 trail arrived broken from grabagun
« on: April 16, 2024, 11:39:33 PM »
Grabagun had the best price online but when I received it, I noticed the butt stock is broken. Looks like they didn’t plastic wrap the gun to the box and just let it bounce around the box. Here is a picture of it.

Excuse me, but if a plastic part breaks from simply rattling around inside a postal box....
how was it ever supposed to stand up to the rigors of being mounted on a weapon ?

I guess it's possible, though I admit it seems strange. I'd blame the design of the buttstock as much as shipping concerns, it just seems like it might be.....less durable than other designs. Just my opinion.

In the “old days”, wouldn’t this be akin to a split in the wooden stock of the predecessor 527 rifles that has been brought up on occasion as a complaint about the older models?  Have you contacted CZ-USA?

If this was meant in response to my comment, please note that I wasn't talking about the material used....only the design. Composite stocks aren't the problem, but spindly little stocks that collapse are going to be more prone to breakage than standard stock designs. Unless the laws of physics cease to exist on given stove tops.

Too bad you didn't inspect it prior to taking possession from your FFL.  Gotta meet those production quotas; box it, ship it and let the Americans deal with it.

That’s what I was thinking. I always check it out prior to taking procession. Yesterday I was visiting a gun shop and someone came in for an order pickup. They slapped down a 4473 before the gun was even taken out of the back room. When he asked to see the gun first they told him he needed “to be Approved” before it was brought out. What a bunch of BS.

Okay but to help the OP, If it was broken in shipping or shipped broken- either way.... I am not familiar with "grabagun" but if it's a new firearm you should (hopefully) be able to perhaps get some help from CZ USA. Not that they are necessarily responsive to customer desires, but if it's factory new....surely they would help. If they won't, I want to know about it.

Why not reach out to the seller or if it was new just call CZ. How did the box look? Got a pic of it?
I'm thinking that didn't happen from bouncing around in the box.
