75 vs 75B slide stops
« on: May 30, 2025, 10:28:21 PM »
Could someone point out the differences between 75, Transitional and B SS's, if any? Cajun implies that they are not compatible.

And do we have a master list somewhere about compatibility. I only found a thread with individual inputs.

thanks

I can tell you this, that I bought a B slide stop and put it in my transitional frame and it works fine. The original slide stop was definitely a pre-B type and of course it worked fine with that too. I also change the safety to a regular B style to make the gun look right with a square trigger card. Of course I had to do some work on the frame for the detent to work with it.

That’s a sample of one, but my B slide stop works fine in my transitional frame.  Are you sure you understood Cajun gun works clearly? They do know what they are doing.

I got a very swift answer from their Lead Gunsmith yesterday:

"It's pretty simple.  CZ made only 2 frame widths for all metal 75 series.  1.000" and 1.100", hence there are two different slide stops that cover these models.
P-01, 75D PCR, Shadow 2's, RAMI, Tac Sports, Shadow 2 Carry, etc, are 1.100" frames.
75B's, 97's, etc, are 1.000"

But when you select the 2ES Slide Stop on their online catalog it says it does not fit 75 pre-B.
However I just looked at the SS I did not want, the CGW Slide Stop for Narrow CZ Frame and it says it fits both B and pre-B... Doh!

I think it is safe, again, to blame the web witches for the misunderstanding...

One more exchange with CGW: Pre-B's and Transitionals are 1.000" frames with corresponding SS.

I have 2ES slide stops in my round trigger guard pre-b’s, no issues at all.

Sorry Brian, I forgot to thank you for your input earlier.

Thanks Earl. Frame width seems to be indeed the only distinction regarding metal frames. Someone screwed up CGW online catalog.
And I didn't even bring my Mossad in the picture... seems to work fine with a 85 Transitional's slide stop. I will shoot that combo soon after double checking.
