Single Action Trigger Question
« on: October 28, 2006, 06:41:55 AM »
On the single action steel replacement triggers for the CZ 75 like Angus sells, they have 2 set screws. One for take up on the front side, and one for overtravel that goes through the trigger face. Question, it appears that the set screws are adjusted with a hex key. If so, is the hex key metric? If it is metric, what size is it? Next question...once the pistol is reassembled with this trigger, can you adjust the take up screw with the slide off?

Thanks for any info regarding this.

I think I recall that the wrench size for overtravel adjustment is 1.5mm and the one for take up adjustment is 1.27mm. Why 2 different sizes? Dunno.

Thanks for the responses guys. I found the answer. Both set screws are 1.5mm. I had to go to a couple of different places to track down individual 1.5mm hex keys without having to buy a complete set. Amazingly enough I found some at an Ace Hardware for $0.55.  Both my CZ's (SPO1 and 97B) are converted to single action only, and now that I've tweaked the set screws a bit my triggers are sweet!!!!! I know I'm preaching to the choir on this web site, but my CZ's are amazing!!! Talk about target groups, these puppies have shot ragged holes since the day I took them new from their boxes! My SPO1 Tactical is the most accurate 9mm I've ever owned, and believe me, at one point or another, I've carried, tried, or owned them all. In my opinion, the SPO1 has no rival. Realiabilty, firepower, balance, feel etc... Did I mention cool looking?

Maybe mine is an older trigger, but it does require 2 different sized hex wrenches. Anyway, glad you found what you wanted.
