i copied and pated this description they have been selling it for awhile and have pictures on their website at sportsmansguide.com...here goes.........

Genuine 1940s U.S. production, from Evansville Chrysler Ordnance Plant in Evansville, Indiana. With 230-gr. FMJ ball bullet, and priced low. In original sealed "Spam" can, 7 1/2 x 6 x 5 1/2", with markings. Boxer-primed, corrosive, steel case. Approx. Muzzle Velocity: 855 f.p.s. Muzzle Energy: 405 ft.-lbs. Perfectly designed to give the Axis a headache... or way worse, really.

I've seen that and forgot about it.  You're right.  

However, I don't know of many folks using it. Certainly not lots and lots.

Its very corrosive, and every one I know who is aware of it, avoids it.  (Not because of the steel, but because its corrosiveness.)

Where did you get ammo cheaper than you can reload it??
