Handling the P-01/ 75 Compact under adverse conditions

It's that slim internal slide that causes me concern.

I'd like some feedback from the rest of the community as well as from Angus on the best ways to manipulate the slide.

I'm 6'4" and have pretty big hands.  I was at the range the other day and the ac was busted.  I was sweating like a pig (Georgia gets that way).  I found that I couldn't grip the slide to lock it back with my palms wet.  I'm shooting the 75 compact 40.

I had several mis-feeds and failures to lock back on the last round (other issues for other posts)  that required me to manipulate the slide (often with a live round wedged in the chamber!).  My hands kept slipping on the slide!  Between the sweat and powder and that little slide I was having a whole lot of trouble.

It brought the thought of what if I ran into this problem while in competition or even worse, on the street.  

So, anyone else experience this with their CZ's?  I don't know the spring weight of the 40 vs the 9mm but it's pretty stiff in optimal circumstances.  I don't know if this is a problem for 9mm bit since the slide/frame is the same I thought I'd include you all.  Anyone else with difference CZ variants but have input please give me your 2 cents as well.

The rear slide serrations on the back of the compact .40 are pretty deep and sharp;  I've not had a problem being able to get a good grip (and my index finger usually lies across the top of the slide just in front of the rear sight, so there's some extra push there too).

I can say I've tried with really wet hands, but as far as the serrations go, the ones on the compact .40 are more severe than the full size 9mm 75s, though as you note the .40 springs are a bit stiffer.

Assuming you are not shooting in production you could alway put skate board tape on the slide. I have forward cocking serations n most of my comp guns well certinly the SP01's. I also use copious quantities of Pro Grip to stop sweaty hands

Another method is to grip the slide with the weak hand and
push the frame/grip foward with the strong hand.
Do not try to pull the slide back. Push the frame foward.
My daughters find this method much easier to do.
