SPO1 DECOKER
« on: June 06, 2005, 09:25:07 PM »
So here we have it. I had 30 SP01 SA DA models on order which were to arrive about now. Instead of sending the SA DA guns they sent Decoker Versions. Which as many of you know I do not like to work on. Not that they cannot be worked on they can. But I really feel these are a carry style gun and should be left alone bar mainspring changes etc.
So I have 10 of these in my hands as of this Monday 6/6/05.
I have a list of those who already want the SP01 SA DA. IF anyone would like or prefer the SP01 Decoker version send me an email and I will get back to you.
Those on the list who already have FFL's here have first choice.

Dear Mr. Hobdell

Would be a problem to change factory sear on SP 01 Tactical (decoking version) for EGW hard sear? Can you specify some difficulties I can await during process of change?
I am guessing about change of original hammer and sear for your SA/DA hammer and hard sear too. However, I do not know if sear from SP 01 is the some like sear from CZ75 BD and BD Police.
Thank you in advance for help and updating me

I do not like working in the decokers, so do not know too much about them, but I am pretty sure that the sear is different.
I am sure the SA DA's are on the way, they became too popular too quick I guess factory is i=outstripped by demand.

I can't wait for the SA/DA SP-01's to arrive, I just hope that I'm not too far down the waiting list order that I have to wait for another batch after this next one.  <fingers crossed>

The sear IS different -- part of it is removed to make room for the decocker mechanism.

If someone wants a trigger/action job on the decocker models, the best place seems to be CZ-USA's Mike Eagleshield.

I have a couple left, just finished 3 hours or more working the trigger on one of the SP01 decokers. Ended up not too bad, single was about 3 and the double about 6 ish, but the gun has not been used yet and I prefer to work on guns that have been shot I will take it out and put it through it;s paces tomorrow.
Terry I hope you don't mind me wering in your gun.......
