always shoot the gun first before adjusting the laser, and have someone else test it out with you. i was at the range once and this guy was adjusting his laser on a sig p226 after every shot. i asked him if he needed help and he said, "this bleep thing is all over the place, i cant get the gun to shoot straight!"
he let me shoot the gun and i fired 3 shots into the X-ring. i was like, "nothin wrong with the gun, you just gotta take it easy... jerkin the trigger a lil too much"
his laser dot was 6 inches low and 3 inches left at 10 yards!! i couldnt even see the dot on the paper at 50ft but i could still hit bullseyes. point is, make sure your dot is lined up with the sights, dont play chase the laser
