guys I'm new to pistol shooting and have been using my 85 combat for 4 months now Ive fitted lpa fiber optic sights but am wondering what kind of groups I should be getting at 15 yards with american eagle ammo.?:D

Well, how good a shot are you?  <grin>

Keep in mind that American Eagle is not known for consistency or great accuracy.  Its just so-so.

Are you asking what the gun should be shooting, or what YOU should be shooting (in terms of accuracy.)

walt thanks for your reply . i'm asking what the gun should be capable of. as for me, i'm holding around the 3inch mark at 15 yards. As we have just recived our handguns back after the goverment confiscated them in in the early 1970's. the supreme court has lately ruled it illegal for them to continue to hold our guns and refuse to licence any new ones,because of this experiance and good advice on this asspect of shooting  is hard to find.

With inexpensive ammo and shooting offhand, 2-3 inches is probably as good as you can expect.

With good ammo and a good shooter, 1-2 inches is possible with some guns.  From a rest you might be able to beat 2-3 pretty easily, if the gun is up to par.
