Ultimate Bar-B-Que Gun
« on: February 10, 2007, 06:34:54 AM »
I have a buddie that owns a pawn shop near where I live. I went by yesterday to see his new vehicle and we started talking about guns......like we always do. I made mantion of my new 75BD POLICE, and he took me into his walk in safe to show me his new 75B. WOW...he pulled out a 30th Anniversary 75B. It is without a doubt the most beautiful gun I have ever seen. Now I am not a BBQ style gun person, but the gold plated slide release and thumb safety, hammer, mag release button, grip screws & trigger against a very deep blueing, really set this gun off. It has tapered, curved cuts fore and aft in the slide, and a set of grips to die for. The grips are probably Hakan's work and are a blondish wood with light grain, as well as light thumb rest swells. I almost threw money at him till he said yes to selling it to me. Someone at CZ really had an eye for detail and a strong background in BBQ gunology!!! He is going to let me get a picture and I will post it when I do. Has anyone else seen one of these.

tex

I'm a big fan of BBQ guns myself!  If you think that the 30th Anniversary CZ 75 is cool, look at this.  It's the 25th Anniversary special.  It is entirely silver plated. The grips have inlaid Mother of Pearl...I think it's just awesome!!

I'll sound a negative note...

The grips are artwork, but overall, if this weren't a CZ, a gun for which I have a lot of respect, I'd be tempted to call it "pimp gun."   It doesn't tempt me in the least.

This is just too much flash for my taste.

I agree, it is a pimp gun.  One that Patton would have said could be found in a cheap New Orleans bordello.  I do not understand why people take a perfectly good service weapon and run it with all this glitter. Ughhh. BTW, I do not even like the grips.

Got one of the 30th Anniversary editions. Love it to death and shoot it every chance I get! First CZ I ever saw and had to have it as soon as I held it.

Call me a pimp then (maybe I really am) but I wouldn't say no if the price was right!
