Phantom Grip Dimension & ambi decocker
« on: February 16, 2009, 09:08:38 PM »
I've looked through the forums and haven't seen any comment about the width of the Phantom.  I much prefer the feel of thin cocobolos on my PCR and 85, and since that's not an option on the Phantom, I'd like to hear from those of you who have one.

I haven't had a chance to handle one yet.  The grip appears to be recessed and thinner than the top of the frame.  I know the backstrap is interchangeable and will affect trigger reach.  But a fat grip with a short trigger reach is still a fat grip.

Does the ambi decocker on the Tactical fit on the Phantom?  CZ seems pretty good about keeping dimensions standard, but poly frames sometimes beef up.

Mine is definitely NOT a fat grip.

Did you ever find out whether the Ambi-decocker would work on a Phantom?  I am thinking of going the other direction with a left side lever only on a Tactical model.  I grip the gun with my left hand high enough that I occasionally activate the decocker as I pull the trigger.

IF you are wanting to off load your left side only lever let me know.
