Nope. I can attest to the fact they do break. I have replaced at least 4 so far. I make it a part of my cleaning process to inspect the slidelock pin as it deforms (bends) and starts showing hairline cracks before failing completely. I would post on firing line but I am not a member there.

SOund to me like it is a problem on CERTAIN guns - if a bunch say they have shot thousands with no trouble, and you have busted four (one gun?) then there must be enough variation in guns to produse this.

I met two folks here on the forum who had multiple slide stop breaks.  Both returned the guns to CZ, and CZ replaced the guns.  (Apparently the openings on the frame were slightly out of spec.)

I suspect the problem is the gun, not the stops.

If the slide stop isn't setting perfectlly perpendicular to the barrel, when the slide slams forward, the full impact of the slide will be focused on a smaller are on the stop -- and that will eventually break it.

It's all about milage, just like any other machine.
You might have never plain worn out a car engine either, drive it enough and you will.
15,000 is what I would consider normal, I have broken three of them; if you don't shoot that much then don't worry about it.

I wouldn't call 7 of 59 good.

Wish we could do surveys here.  I bet 7/59 is much higher than the experience here on the CZ forum with THOUSANDS of participants.  I'll bet the total mentioned here is way under 50.

Two things:

7/59 is not toooo good.

BUT - many of the others have fired MANY thousands.  I do believe it is individual gun related - not the slide stop - not when one guy gets four broken - it ain't the slide stop.
