One more from the newbie -regarding "B" versus "Pre-B"...

I had not even took notice that mine was a "pre-B" until getting on the boards. What are the differences - pro or con? Does that make mine more collectable? Probably just wishful thinking on that part.

Not really - although anything except my wife and dog are "for sale" at the right price! Haha. Just now taking it to the range anyway.

There are two drawbacks to the Pre-B series 85 COMBAT...

1) the unique rear sight means you are stuck with it

2) Current magazines, especially aftermarket ones, might not fit properly. I know for sure this is true with pre-B CZ-75's and it's likely true with the Pre-B CZ-85 COMBATs as well.

Is it "collectible"?.... maybe, but it's been my experience that CZ-85's in general are less in demand than CZ-75's.
