« on: September 19, 2009, 08:01:08 PM »
1st off, new to the forum and it is awesome ot see the game from across the waters. Just terrific stuff. I call coyotes 99% of my hunting. Here is a few pics. 527 Varmint 204 Ruger

These two had the mange.

Taken at night with a Light Force 170 scope light

This is my sons 1st coyote at age 7. That was exciting.

Hope you enjoyed them

nice shooting.  I've heard good things about that .204 round.  Proud pappa in that last pic.  8)

I've been wanting to get myself a coyote for quite some time.  I just can't get away from shootin groundhogs though...haha.  Very nice dogs.  Are they hard to hunt?

Nice dogs! Good to see that you're taking the son out also. :D

How close are you calling them in?
Using your own calls?
I have used a few different calls, but never any luck at all.  :'(

Did you see that entering a CZ rifle pic in a successful hunt at the CZ blog can get you a free rifle? Check the sticky at the top of this page - that last pic should qualify!

My average call in range is 125 yards or closer (Rhett shot his at 100). But I have all guns sighted in at 200. Rhett has a youth savage 223 now that he is ready to bust a coyote with.
I use my own calls and use a foxpro w/ JIB Decoy.
The largest coyote I have shot pushes 42lbs.
