My VZ 58

I can't even remember exactly when I got this rifle...strange I know. It's just become such a part of my gear that I don't think about anything other than how much I like it.

It's a kit build on an Ohio Rapid Fire receiver, built by none other than Obiwanbonjovi. I've got about 1k through it now, with only one failure to feed (mag related). I've been nothing less than completely satisfied with this carbine. In fact, it beats out my S&W AR as my go-to rifle of choice.

Of course, it's a work in progress. As I'd like to add some kind of optic (red-dot), a weaponlight, and possibly a VFG.

Pics: (oh, the chest rig is a Specter Gear rig, holds 3-30rd mags and have added a double pistol mag pouch to it)

But recenly, I've had thoughts of going back to the original look:

S&W M&P9
Colt CCO
SA Mil-Spec
Kahr PM9

Nice.  I've been thinking about putting paracord on the stock like that.

I've got the original furniture on mine. It would be nice to have somewhere to mount accessories but I don't want to spoil the sleek lines of the original design. Guess I'll have to get a second one.  :D
