TS: high riding safety
« on: February 18, 2010, 10:42:33 PM »
i'm wondering. i have a really high grip. the safety on the TS is too low. basically on the draw, i disengage the safety (sweeping my thumb down) and then readjust my strong hand for the proper grip (raising the thumb to make room for the support hand). if i rest my thumb on the safety, my thumb is just too low and gets in the way. does anyone else have this problem? it slows me down trying to get the first shot off. i'm wondering if i can relocate the tab of the safety to the top of the lever, and if that would pass the scrutiny of "not a thumb rest" in the prohibited modifications in the uspsa rulebook.

I was having similar issues.

Try the new, larger left-hand thumb safety from czcustom.com.

Mine came in.  I just have not had time to fit it to my TS.  Upon close inspection, the lever/paddle is much higher than the original.
Sounds like what you were going for.
