My very first CZ
« on: May 14, 2010, 11:10:05 PM »
I'll be getting my very first CZ, SPO1 Shadow, in the next 4 days and I'm already planning to do some mods on it. I want to have a 5-7lbs DA and 2-4lbs SA pull, I've read here that changing the main spring to a #15lb and hammer to a competition hammer would do fine. Any inputs on that would be great?:) Also where could I possibly get a CZ85C trigger and the flatter safety lever? TIA!:)

I was only planning on getting the regular Shadow only, but went home earlier instead with a #28 Adam Tyc Limited Edition SP01 Shadow, with all the goodies! Here she is, fresh out of the box ;)

I have never even heard of this a limited edition shadow, sweet looking firearm you have there, Exan!

Moderators - Can we get a sticky post in the CZ pics forum where people can post all the different limited edition CZ's and pictures of them?

That trigger looks different than the stock.  Any details on it.

Your New Shadow already has most of the stuff you are looking for.    I pulled this straight from the CZ Custom Site which has a good decription of CZ Factory Shadow   http://czcustom.com/CZ-75-SP01-SHADOW-PolyCoat-9mm.aspx

Some of CZ 75 SP-01 SHADOW features:

Shadow is fitted with a newly redesigned hammer originating from the CZ 75 Champion. This hammer is slightly wider and has modified sear engagement for smoother release and more positive ignition.

85 Combat style slide without firing pin block helps to smooth the trigger pull and improve distance of trigger reset.

85 Combat Style trigger with over travel adjustment helps to remove excess rear ward trigger movement.

Lighter recoil and main springs originating from original CZ 75 Specifications help to create a smoother more consistent action.

Yours may have even more bells and whistles since it's a limited edition.

I love Adam's signature on the slide... very nice touch! I might have to get another Shadow  ;D
CZ 75 SP01 Shadow, strong enough for a man, but she likes it too!

Sorry, he has two threads going.  I posted on the wrong one.

I realize the hammer is not the CZ Custom hammer, however it is the hammer from the CZ Champion.  I was attempting to point out it made very well have all the goodies since it is a Adam Tyc Limited Addition.

Oh well it is a beautiful handgun.  Congratulations again.

Thanks guyz! I'm from the Philippines by the way, and the dealer had them 50 units, and only 3 left, besides the model unit #1 and the #28, #29 #31. So I grab the #28, it has a 2.5lbs SA pull and about 7lbs DA pull. The trigger and safety lever is thinned up, that's pretty much the difference, but the over-all feel and handling of the gun is way different from the regular Shadow. The casing truly rocks, you feel and know that there is something special inside it:)
