Interchangeability question
« on: May 17, 2010, 11:39:17 PM »
Yesterday I was cleaning my CZs and just for the heck of it I decided to try and switch some frames and slide. I found that my CZ-75 retro slide functioned
on my P-01 frame. This got me thinking. I would love to have a compact CZ in 9mm with a manual safety, and the CZ 75 compact in .40 S&W has a manual safety. So, I was wondering if anyone here knows if you can swap the compact 40's frame with the P-01 slide thus creating a compact 9mm w/ a safety?

Here is my "P-01 Retro" for anyone who may want to see it. (Sorry for the awful lighting in the picture)

Decocker or safety is a frame function so it should be fine. Nearly all 75s should be interchangeable same as nearly all of them using the same Kadet kit.
When did it change from "We the people" to "screw the people"?

Why use 911 when it's faster to use 1911 or 9mm?

Don't they make a CZ 75 compact with manual safety in 9mm?

Yes they do make a compact with a manual safety. I forgot to mention in my original post that I am left handed so I need one with an ambidextrous safety, like the compact .40.
