I believe ammo can be an issue.  M1A "hates" South African surplus 7.62X51 ammo.  It will regularly bounce an empty off the bottom of the scope mount (that has been on my rifle since the late 70's) back into the receiver resulting in a jam.  My reloads are okay.  Winchester hunting ammo was okay.  S&B surplus is okay (corrosive, but functions 100%).

Sometimes, the gun "speaks" to us, if we're listening.

Just keep buying/using ammo that works in your pistol.
I just keep wasting time and money on other brands trying to find/make one shoot like my P07 and P09.  What is wrong with me?

I have an update.

As for the recoil spring, I don't remember specifically.  Going by memory, I believe it is a factory spring with a few rungs cut off of it to make it fit more easily, as I was directed to do by someone presumably more knowledgeable than me.

Why would you cut coils from the factory spring???  If the idea (which IMHO is a bad one) is to lighten the recoil spring buy a lighter one, they are cheap and the length is important.
If I had known how much better being retired is than working I would have done it FIRST.

I cut about 3/4" off my P-07 recoil spring and it's run flawlessly ever since.  It's been about a year now.

It was a weekend and I was impatient.  If it screwed it up, I was just going to buy a new one later.

I'm not saying I recommend it but I did it.....and it has worked for me.  Yes, the P-07 is a different animal but I can see why someone would do it.

It appears that at some point, CZ-USA was providing that suggestion, based on this topic:  http://www.czfirearms.us/index.php?topic=61588.0

I suspect I got the idea from them.
