CZ Test Targets are the fired off hand?
« on: August 06, 2010, 08:04:28 PM »
With the CZ pistols each gun (I believe) is packaged with a test target printout.  According to the data provided they are fired at 25 meters.

Are these fired off hand or from a rest or how?

Now that's a good question - let me ask.

From a rest but squeezed very tight in this black board.  Behind the green curtain is 25 meters to the target.  On the left is PC showing my hits.

I see OK
I got my P01 today and with another test target.  The spread was 86MM, was not too please that no 2 shots were very close together as they are with my CZ75b

How have you guys found the test targets to be with your shooting experiences?

No, not really, mine always seem to exceed the test targets...but I reload, too.

:D :D
I hope mine does too.  I know my full size 75 is as accurate as it needs to be for sure.

CZ targets (at least for rifles) are fired by a machine, but not aimed. They are fired for function proof only. The test targets should not be interpreted as a proof of potential accuracy.

So is this the CZ factory setup?  What is the hammer and punches on the bench for? Do they do sight adjustments?

Good to know. I was wondering if they adjusted the sights (if needed) after test fireing, especialy on a fixed sight gun.

official word is a padded wood block, not a machine rest. I'm happy with my sights setup from the factory.

AZ CZ:

The hammer and punches are there for rear sights adjustments only.  They are not adjusting front sights.  They received all pistols from mechanics with rear sight moved into slot but not permanently attached.  They use hammer and special flat punch to move sights to the left or right.  When are they satisfied with set up they use sharp punch from the top to attach sights permanently.
