Magazine change theories?
« on: October 08, 2010, 01:02:33 PM »
Anyone know if there is an official reason why CZ changed the dimensions of the magazines? Were they faulty? Less durable?

I have some of their older and newer variants. The newer style works in my '79, but are pretty rough in and out of the magwell. I've not had any issues with the oldest style; not only are they the smoothest, they operate in *every* model of CZ75 I've ever owned. Perhaps we need a petition to bring these back?

I won't even get started on the dimensions of clone mags as we're all familiar with the inconsistencies of that.

Cone mags, yes, but I wasn't aware of any differences in mag size for CZ75s otherthan the change from the pre-B to B. I understand the Pre-B was just a little bit different.

the draftsman fell asleep at the drawing board and his drool smudged a decimal point.

the bean counters wanted to reduce cost so they rounded up or down a dimension.
