Just put in my order...
« on: March 01, 2002, 01:14:27 PM »
Ordered my 85 Combat in Satin Nickle from the Canadian distributor (London Arms) today. Yay !!! :b

Unfortunately it'll be about two months before it gets here...
Booooo ! :(

Oh well, I have no choice, they are the only importer of CZ's and Dave seems like a pretty good guy to deal with anyway.

Waiting patiently,
Brad :\

I phoned them last month trying to get a price on the 75 IPSC, but he said he doesn't sell to anyone but dealers.  Are you a dealer, or was I given the run around?

No, I'm not a dealer.

I still have to get my gun through Wholesale sports in Calgary. I just contacted London Arms directly because they do not usually order Satin Nickle pistols, just blued. I was trying to save time by talking to the distributor myself instead of having wholesale do it on my behalf (they are sometimes not too quick to reply to my emails, etc.)

I just had him put a Satin Nickle Combat on his next order list, he will send it through Wholesale when the order comes in.

Ok, that's makes sense, but how much is wholesale going to charge you extra?  By the way, I love my 85 Combat, but would like to shoot major as well in IPSC.

London arms said there was a $36 surcharge for special orders, so I guess that will be passed on to me through Wholesale.

I was thinking about a .40 S&W too, could go cheaper and get the 75b-SA, or go the expensive route and pick up a Kimber Stainless target.
It'll be awhile before it happens though...

Again, a demonstrated need for  .40 caliber 85 series.

ok, what's the word on the satin nickel finish?
