There's a glossy blue on Gunsamerica for $449.00 plus $25.00 to ship.  Sweet deal.

Well, she got stipped and bathed, polished the feed ramp and will be doing a full polish on the barrel and internals, Has a bit of trigger creep and grit that should be pretty easy to take care of. Anythoughts on after market sites? Right now I;m just going to paint them but I would like to put in a nice set of front and rear. Any ideas? Also been contemplating a 20lbs wold spring but any benefit to replacing the main sprin as well and with what pound spring?

mwcoleburn,

When you say "wold" spring, do you mean recoil spring?  The factory recoil spring for the 97 is 13#'s.  If you could even find a 20# spring the pistol would probably not function since you're increasing the rating by a little over 50%.  Wolff Spring's recommends a 14-16# spring if you are running hardball exclusively.

Most folks run a 15# hammerspring.

I meant wolf spring,  I found one and had thought about picking it up for +P+ loads, the hammer spring is more interesting to me, What kind of reduction in trigger pull would a 15lbs spring give?

A 15# hammerspring would reduce the DA pull a little, however it would have little impact on the SA pull.  The ultimate solution for the SA trigger performance is the competition hammer.  I run the stock 20# hammerspring in my 97 and still have an ice crisp 3.0# SA pull.
