Finally...yesterday i finally got my hands on a 97b.
« on: September 04, 2008, 12:04:03 PM »
yesterday went to a dealer with intent on selling a pistol, when low and behold, what do i see in the glass case counter,a used 97b, needless to say i imediately asked if i could see it, the price was $450.00,  so i countered with $400.00,  well i had to settle at $425.00, but i was really excited just to see it, i had never seen one in person just in the cz brochure, this one has the glossy finish, beautifull gun, ...did not come with a case and only one mag ,chucks, but what i found out when i got home was that mags from my eaa witness 45, are a perfect fit...if anybody has any suggestions for me or tips on this gun pls chime in , ..thx very much..

ge0624me,

Congrats on what I think is one of the best .45's on the market, but the 97 is a few modifications from being dang near perfect.  I have 2 97's, a poly-coat and a nickel plated RSR Special.  I shoot the poly-coat 4-5 times a month, going through about 500-600 rounds a month.  This has become my favorite 45 after I:

Installed a fiber optic front sight
Installed the CZ comp hammer
Installed a Wolf 15# mainspring
Installed a set of Hogue rubber finger groove grips

This is an extremely well built, accurate, reliable pistol.  I think you will really enjoy yours.  Post some pics.
