Question on bolt handle for cz 452
« on: February 21, 2011, 07:21:55 AM »
Hi Everybody - I want to have a CZ452, but I have never use this style bolt before. Most CZ Rimfire bolts, the lock lugs at the rear of the bolt, not like the else which lock lugs at the front (e.g. Mauser style). The bolt and the handle are separate.

Now the question is: how CZ452 stop the bolt handle go down while opening chamber? I means if we turn the handle counterclockwise and pull the bolt back, the handle will goes down if we push it down right now? how to keep the handle upward, is it catch anything?

But I see nothing catch the handle, there is no groove to contain the firing pin, is smooth. Is that right?

How the handle keep its position? Just push it up by hand?

The lug on the CZ452 bolt handle runs in the channel cut into the bottom of the receiver(pic below) so when you rotate the bolt(counter clockwise), pull it to the rear the handle cannot be pulled down(clockwise) until the bolt is closed and the lugs line up inside the receiver.
