2nd Pistol Match with my 75B (with video)
« on: June 12, 2011, 11:14:15 PM »
Not sure when I'll stop numbering which match it is but obviously at #2 I'm new to this. I had a great time and the 75 did great. This was my first match (actually first time I'd fired the pistol) after Brian Ahearn's Cerakote job I won in the Christmas giveaway-- the pistol performed great so kudos to Brian. BTW Brian, many people commented "Where did you get a duo tone CZ like that?" so I pointed them your way.

Here's a video a buddy of mine did with his iPhone. Nothing spectacular speed-wise on my part by any stretch but as we all know a day at the range is rarely a truly bad day.  Any pointers/tips would be greatly appreciated (other than "take up golf"  :D ). Remember I'm in California with no hi-caps so I'm shooting L-10. I forget if it was this or an earlier stage, but I had already made ready when a deer dropped down into the shooting bay.

Looks good. The more matches you get the better your runs will be. Also, is that a two tone green 75b?

No it's not two tone green. I think the cerakote colors were armorer's black (slide, slide stop, safety) and tactical grey (frame, extractor). Here's a link to pictures Brian Ahearn took during the cerakote process -- Easton Firearms Refinishing

It was hard to see on the video and that was my first guess.  :D

Slow is smooth, and smooth is fast. You did good by me. Wish I could get into some matches around here.
