Just wanted to pass on a good experience I recently had with Waffen Werks.
I purchased my VZ-58 last December from Waffen Werks direct, they do not usually sell direct to end users but I guess they were getting rid of a few extra VZ-58's that were lying around. I was planning on ordering one from Czechpoint but just as I was about to order one someone linked to the Waffen Werks deal. Same D-technic gun but WITH muzzle break and bayonet lug, I wanted the gun as original as possible so it was a no-brainer.
Firearm showed up at my FFL right on time, I was a happy camper. I have a seasonal business that means I did not get to play with the firearm for far too long. when I finally did I found it functioned perfectly but was off the paper at 50 yards. looking closer at the gun when I got home I realized the front sight was canted to the left. I started reading up on how to fix the problem myself thinking it had almost been a year I really did not want to screw up the finnish as they had done a fantastic job. Finally I decided to email Waffen Werks and see if they would help me out.
Within 2 days I had a UPS call tag and the firearm was off, Less than 2 weeks later it shows up. I was getting worried that they had not done the work it was so quick. No worries though the gun was repaired and looked un-touched, I still don't know how they fixed it...lol
I had managed to crack the pistol grip at some point , it arrived with a new one installed. I had not even mentioned it, nice touch.
I was admittedly worried that I was not going to get any help on the repair but Waffen Werks stepped up above and beyond. Thank you much.
They do not generally sell direct But I am happy to buy a firearm with the Waffen werks name on the side. Now who had that AK-74 .............
