Has anyone replaced or shortened the firing pin spring, With positive results?

I'm not sure if this is a good idea. While it would reduce the  weight of the trigger pull, it might also result in light primer strikes.

It might be a good idea to have a spare FP spring around, in case you cut one too many coils off the original spring.

8) yes, I have, with positive results.

However, it is not worth the trouble.  Save the money you would have spent on springs.  Use the time you would have spent on trying to get one to strike 100% to raise more money.  

Take the money you saved on springs and the money you raised not screwing around with the springs and buy something you don't have to fix that is brand new right out of the box.

If you have a 100 9mm already, sell it.;)
If you have a 100 40 cal sell it to me at a greatly reduced price.:b
