I found a holster that fits!
« on: April 01, 2007, 06:56:46 PM »
I have an old Galco paddle rig that was given to me some time ago, for a SiG P229, IIRC, that worked well for my PO-1 for some time to and from work. The PO-1 rode just slightly out the bottom, exposing the muzzle to damage, so I was happy to switch to a differant rig, but it was nice to have it.
Yesterday, before work, for no apparent reason, I decided to pull that dusty rig out of the drawer, and stuff the CZ-100 in...and it fit. Seriously. The barrel stop didn't bulge the leather, but rode the sidearm ever so slightly back, and the barrel.slide stopped right at the bottom, just like it was made to.
Pictures will be taken later, but it is kinda nice to see that I actually have a decent leather holster for the newest CZ in the family!8)  By accident!:lol

Here is the CZ-100 nestled in an old Galco paddle rig, a CCP298H, whatever that is.
It fits.

That's not a bad lookin' holster at all.  Galco wants $108.00 for that holster on their website.

As to what it is: "The Galco CCP (Concealed Carry Paddle) is widely considered to be the finest professional-carry paddle holster in existence.

The CCP offers all the features expected in a modern defensive holster: open top, secure retention, combat grip accessibility, and covered trigger guard. It adds the convenience of Galcos unsurpassed adjustable paddle design, with unlimited range of holster angle options. Whether your choice is FBI-forward cant, barrel-forward cant, or neutral (vertical) cant, a single turn of a screw allows precise adjustment to your preferred angle of carry. The option of crossdraw carry while you are in an automobile, or for everyday use, is also just a screw turn away. Our patented paddle grips the inside of the waistband and underside of the belt, and is adjustable for belts of different widths.

If you need an open-top paddle holster with variable cant, this is it. Constructed of premium saddle leather, the CCP fits belts up to 1 3/4".

Made for semiautomatic pistols, the C.C.P. is available in right or left hand designs, in a havana brown or black finish."

According to the Galco website, that holster is for a Glock G29 or G30. I just tried my 100 in a Hunter JIT Slide I have for my G20 & 21. It almost fit. The only problem was the barrel stop. I could make the 100 go all the way into the holster, but the barrel stop deformed the holster enough that I would not want to use it. Since there are quite a few top quality holster makers that can supply holsters for the 100 there is no need to make do.

Good shooting.
Just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not really after you!
