Mec-Gar Propeitary Witness mags

Mec-Gar has started releasing their own brand. Not marked Tangfolio or K38. First out is for the 38 Super. These are marked MGWIT38-LF. AFC coated. Ordered two from Greg Cote. $24.95/mag + $5.95 shipping. Unless something has changed M-G will not bring in 10mm mags.

These mags will likely end up being better in some small ways than the mag they make for Tangfolio.

CC processed 8 pm Friday night, in my mailbox Monday morning.

Tube, follower and round count are the same. AFC coating the same. Spring seems stronger but could just be New against 200rd K38 mag.

Base pad is almost 50% thinner, completely flat on the bottom, they stamped their logo on the front of the mag instead of molding "Tangfolio Italy" in the bottom of the pad. Side by side the Mec-Gar 38-LF pad is shorter and less bulky looking than the K38.

I bought several for my 9x23 conversion.  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they'll work.

The K38's run factory OAL Winchester 9x23 like greased snot. These will do the same or better.

These mags have have run great in my CZ for years now.

Your gun should be back from Jim's shop by the end of the month?

Mags ran 38 Super, 38 Super/Comp and 9x23 with 0% issues. Mec-Gars own mag seems good to go!

45 acp and 9mm are now on the market. No hassle with EAA trying to pawn off the old red follower mags on unsupecting buyers.

The guys at Mec-Gar-USA have asked the factory in Italy to allow them to market the 10MM LF magin this country. If this happens that would give us a clean sweep of all calibers(M-G USA currently import only 9MM,38S & .40) and allow us to buy from our Favorite mag outlets.

The Mec-Gar factory has reported back to Tangfolio that the only difference to make Compact Witness mags is to cut the tubes shorter. The Mag factory is waiting for the Gun factory to give them the OK! Relief in sight for the Compact owners.

No LF series +2 mags in the near future!
