75b omega trigger
« on: November 21, 2011, 10:56:21 PM »
I'm kind of new to CZ's, but after reading the reviews, I picked up a 75b with the omega trigger.  Felt good in the store, but now its beginning  to get to me cause I have rather large fingers.   My question, is this, is there another trigger I could get for this pistol?  The re-curve just isn't doing it for me.  I installed a 15lb main spring, helped some, and I do realize I only use it in DAO for the first shot, not up to carrying cocked and locked yet.  There is a wealth of knowledge here, and I figured I might as well ask.  If I'm stuck with it, oh well, maybe look for a 75b without it.  Thanks for any input.

Call CZ-USA and check
much of the internals of the Omega are different..trigger bar, hammer, sear, disconnector etc. not sure if the trigger is different.

you cannot see all the trigger on the CZ-USA webstore to be able to tell.

"IF" the same trigger. there are not a lot of choices as a lot of the newer CZs have gone to this radius of trigger. The CZ97 ( 45acp) still uses the old radius.

Another option that has been very popular with lots of customers is the "silver', serrated, PCR trigger.  Same curve as the 97, but a lot slimmer in thickness.  Gives extra room for larger fingers.  I have this on all my CZ's.

Thanks for the input guys.  Looking at the parts diagrams for the 75b and then the 75b omega there is a difference on the trigger and how it fits into the trigger bar.  I think I will call CZ custom and talk to those folks.  From what I've read here on this forum, they are really great people to deal with.   I'll let you all know how that turns out, again, Thank you all.

Schmeky, I've read some of your posts, sounds like you get into modifications alot.  Is the PCR / 97 trigger a drop in replacement, or would I need a gunsmith to do it?  I'm not mechanically challenged, but some things are best left to someone who knows what their doing.  Like I said  I do have rather large fingers, maybe one of your suggestions would work.
